Incentives

Must have the following characteristics to be classified as an incentive:

End client must be a corporate company
The trip is a reward for loyalty or performance etc for their staff
Min 25 pax
No less than 4* hotels

If the request has all above, please send to M&K – Michael Dalton

The only exception to this rule is Nordic markets: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland.

Requests with above characteristics coming from Nordic markets are handled by Ruta’s team.

Other requests:

activities (including team building activities) does not make the request an incentive request, so it stays in Abbey BD unless it has also the above mentioned incentive elements.
if there is a bespoke event completely out of ordinary (like client requesting us to create the event for them, or a private viewing of something that is normally public, etc), this would go to M&K
gala dinners like private hire of a castle or private hire of Guinness or similar: this goes to M&K
gala dinners at hotels, normal Irish Entertainment venues (Taylors, Abbey Tavern, Medieval Banquet, hotels, etc): this is leisure and stays with Abbey BD
unusual transport like 4x4, vintage cars, or even helicopter: these on their own do not make the request an incentive request. So if nothing else in the request, these will stay with Abbey BD.

Pax numbers:

up to 9 pax leisure: Abbey FIT
over 10+ pax leisure: Abbey BD
under 25 pax incentive: M&K FIT.
however 10-25 pax incentive requests: Virginia is the only one dealing with these. If Virginia not available, request will go to groups either M&K or Abbey. Decision is taken by MD+TG

If a leisure request starts as a group and then number drops below 10 pax:

if it’s still with BD, BD can handover the request to FIT (instead of CC), following complete & full consultation
if it’s already with CC it stays in CC

Scotland Incentives – Please forward requests to Michael Dalton. At the moment we do not do them, but Michael will review each request and respond accordingly. We refer the client to specialised company in Scotland – until further notice (plan is to recruit a staff member specialised in incentive in EDI office, don’t have timeframe for this yet).
